The 2 oz Canadian Twin Maple Leaf silver coin was introduced by the Royal Canadian Mint in 2017 as an evolution of the famous 1 oz Canadian Silver Maple Leaf, one of the world’s most recognized bullion coins. The design celebrates Canada’s national emblem—the maple leaf—while offering a larger 2-ounce format of .9999 fine silver with advanced security features. The coin carries a $10 CAD face value and reflects the Mint’s tradition of high-purity precious-metal coinage and detailed engraving.

The obverse shows the portrait of the reigning monarch—Queen Elizabeth II on earlier issues and King Charles III on newer ones. The design includes the monarch’s name, the year of issue, and the 10 DOLLARS face value, set against a background of fine radial lines used as a security feature.

The reverse, designed by Celia Godkin, features two overlapping sugar maple leaves, Canada’s national symbol. Surrounding inscriptions read CANADA, 9999 FINE SILVER, and 2 OZ ARGENT PUR 9999, while radial lines and a small micro-engraved maple leaf provide additional security.
