In 2013, the Perth Mint released a series of gold coins commemorating World War II. The series featured designs honoring the combined efforts of the American and Australian forces in the war. The Australian Battle of The Coral Sea is a 1/10 oz gold coin that features Queen Elisabeth II's portrait on the obverse. On the reverse is the image of a WWII battleship between the Australian Flag on the left and the American Flag on the right.
